Heinemann Solutions GmbH has officially opened its new site at Mukran Port in Sassnitz. In the modern training hall “Im Fährhafen 1”, practice-oriented safety trainings according to the standards of the Global Wind Organization (GWO) will be offered from March 2025. These include “Working at Heights” (Basic & Refresher), “Advanced Rescue Training”, “Fire Awareness” (Basic & Refresher), “Manual Handling” and “Enhanced First Aid” (Basic & Refresher).
With over 15 years of experience in the field of practical safety trainings, Heinemann Solutions is expanding its range of services targeted at the offshore and onshore wind industry in the Baltic Sea region with the opening of the new site in Sassnitz. “Mukran Port is a central hub, especially for the offshore wind industry in the Baltic Sea region. Our presence enables companies to optimally prepare their employees on-site for the challenges of offshore work – and then deploy them directly,” explains Holger Heinemann, Managing Director of Heinemann Solutions.
The new training hall was specially developed for realistic scenarios and rescue exercises. Custom-built structures and genuine wind turbine hub provide practical training conditions. The equipment is supplemented by safety-relevant rescue equipment and industry-specific tools.
The expansion of the training hall began in spring 2024. In autumn, the final construction work was completed and the fittings for the training hall were finalized. In December, the new location was certified as part of Heinemann Solutions’ regular GWO recertification. With training standards that go beyond the requirements of GWO, DGUV and VDE, the company sets standards for safe working in the wind industry.
In addition to the GWO trainings, the company is planning a strategic expansion of the training program in Sassnitz. In the future, crane operator licenses and electrotechnical trainings will also be offered on-site. Heinemann Solutions is thus strengthening its portfolio specifically for the wind and maritime industry with increased safety requirements. In addition to the headquarters in Elsfleth, where Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) and Sea Survival Training are also provided, Heinemann Solutions also offers mobile training courses directly at the customer’s site. In 2024, over 1,000 training courses were held and around 6,000 certificates were issued. With the expansion to Sassnitz and the increasing demand for highly qualified safety trainings, these figures are expected to grow further in 2025.
“With Heinemann Solutions, Mukran Port is gaining another company that will promote the positive development of the location and expand the service portfolio in a focused manner,” emphasizes Leon Kräusche, Mayor and representative of the main shareholder of Mukran Port Stadt Sassnitz.
The well-established range of services relating to personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools will also be expanded by Heinemann Solutions in the region. The portfolio has already included the maintenance, repair, rental and management of PPE as well as rescue and survival equipment for several years. The company operates a service station at its headquarters in Elsfleth and is also represented at the Emden airfield. With the presence in Sassnitz, customers now benefit from shorter distances, faster availability of equipment and closer on-site support.
