HARTING Technology Group adds new board member


Effective as from July 1, 2011, Dr. rer. nat. Frank Brode will be active as board member New Technologies at the HARTING Technology Group. In this function he is directly responsible for the Central Quality and Technology Area.

Dr. Brode launched his career in 1977 as a development engineer for optical fiber measuring technology at Kabelwerk Oberspree, Berlin, after concluding his studies of physics at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Accompanying his initial vocational activities, Dr. Frank Brode earned a doctorate in the field of optical communications transmission. In 1993 Dr. Brode took up the position of director of the communication cable technology area at BICC Communications LTD in Berlin. Following this assignment, Frank Brode was additionally tasked with the responsibility for the company’s entire research and development area. In the year 1999 Frank Brode joined Corning Cable Systems GmbH & Co. KG where he was active as plant manager and technical director. At the end of 2002 Dr. Brode initially took on the function of area manager for the EMEA region at Krone GmbH, which has been trading as ADC GmbH since 2007. Following this post Frank Brode held the position of Vice President EMEA at ADC Inc., while also acting as managing director of ADC GmbH as well as other companies.
