Hareket to undertake the transportation, installation, and assembly operations for Oman’s second-largest wind power plant
Published in: Wind, Press Releases

Türkiye’s leading company in heavy lifting, project transportation, and load engineering, Hareket, continues to make its mark with projects across the globe. In Oman, Hareket will undertake the transportation, installation, and assembly operations of 36 wind turbines that will become the country’s second-largest wind power plant.
Highlighting Hareket’s tailored engineering solutions and operational expertise, CEO Abdullah Altunkum stated:
“Thanks to our 68 years of experience and strategic investments, we are taking on major roles in projects across three continents and diverse geographies. To date, Hareket has contributed to projects providing 6,108.95 MW of energy through transportation, lifting, assembly, and port services. This means that the renewable energy projects we have supported provide electricity to an average of 5 million households. This project, which will become Oman’s second-largest wind power plant upon completion, is proof that Hareket is becoming an increasingly influential player in the global arena. Our goal is to generate sustainable solutions for the world’s energy transition and contribute not only regionally, but globally. In the coming period, we will continue to strengthen Hareket’s global brand journey by participating in larger and more strategic projects around the world.”
Hareket will begin the transportation, installation, and assembly of the 36 wind turbines in November, with project completion scheduled for March 2026. The 91-meter-long wind turbine blades, the longest ever transported in Oman, will be moved along a challenging 387-kilometer route from Duqm Port to the Nimr Site.
