• GPtech participated successfully in two conferences about integrating renewable energies in the electrical net and renewable hybrid generation systems
• The company keeps leader in the supply of devices for South American PV facilities
Madrid, 19th of October of 2012. GPtech has participated in Wind & Solar Power Chile, which have taken place in Centro Eventos Casa Piedra (Santiago), from 17th to 18th, October. As a platinum sponsor, the company has taken part at the Seminars and Conferences Program scheduled for the event. Sergio Ceballos, New Business Manager, intervened in two of those conferences. Firstly, he spoke about the “Benefits of power electronics for Renewable Energy integration and control in Chile’s electric grid”. The second speech was about “Renewable hybrid generation systems: isolated generators and connected to weak electric grids”. The audience praised the content of both speeches, whose contents are closely related with the work GPtech has been developing successfully during the last months, in the Ilumina PV Plant in Puerto Rico and the PV facilities built in Latin America.
Wind & Solar Power Chile means one step further for GPtech purpose of enlarging its presence in South America. In the company’s booth, visitors could learn more about the projects in which GPtech has collaborated in the region: Calama Solar 3 (Chile), Cañada Honda (Argentina), and Majes, Repartición, Tacna and Panamericana (Peru). The company has provided, for these facilities, PV inverters and plug&play solutions to assure their operation. In total, GPtech has already more than 100 MW of installed capacity in those countries, becoming the leading inverter supplier company in Latin America. Furthermore, it has an important pipeline for the next months, not only in South American countries, but also in growing markets as United States, China, South Africa or India. GPtech is negotiating with leading companies in the Solar Market its participation in important projects.
During the exhibition, visitors could, as well, obtain information about GPtech’s products, all of them developed with own technologies and resources based on next generation power electronics. The company provides integral solutions principally focused on the PV Grid Integration Market, but also in Wind Energy, Transport and Energy. With more than 1,5GW installed capacity in Power Conversion Technologies and 500 MW of PV plants equipped with GPtech Inverter Solutions, it has become one of the most important suppliers of power electronic equipment.
