  •  Leading European climate-tech entrepreneur joins Glint Solar as the company accelerates its global expansion amid growing demand from utility-scale PV & storage developers

Oslo, Norway – 28 September 2026 – Glint Solar, a leading AI-powered software platform for utility-scale solar and energy storage development, today announced the appointment of Lubomila Jordanova, founder of carbon accounting platform Plan A and co-founder of the Greentech Alliance, to its Board of Directors. The appointment comes as Glint Solar accelerates its global expansion amid increasing pressure on solar and storage developers to identify viable projects faster and navigate increasingly complex grid, land and permitting constraints.

Glint Solar’s AI-powered SaaS platform helps utility-scale solar and storage developers to identify viable land much faster by simplifying complex grid, site and permitting processes. By turning geospatial and regulatory data into clear insights in hours rather than weeks, the platform helps developers identify constraints, assess feasibility and prioritize the strongest opportunities earlier. Glint Solar estimates its platform can cut total utility-scale project development timelines in half – from an average of seven years to around three and a half – while helping reduce the number of speculative or immature projects entering already congested development pipelines and grid queues.

Jordanova is one of Europe’s leading climate-tech entrepreneurs, with first-hand experience building and scaling a global sustainability software business. She founded Plan A in 2017 and grew the carbon accounting and decarbonization platform to serve more than 1,500 companies worldwide, including BMW, Visa and Chloé, before its acquisition by Nasdaq-listed Diginex in January 2026, where she served as CEO. She also co-founded the Greentech Alliance, a global community connecting thousands of climate-tech companies with investors and advisors, and has been recognized as an Obama Foundation Leader, MIT Innovator Under 35 Europe and Forbes 30 Under 30.

In her new role, Jordanova will draw on her experience scaling an international climate-tech software business to support Glint Solar’s next phase of growth, advising the company on global expansion, commercial strategy and scaling its platform across new markets.

Lubomila Jordanova, Board Member at Glint Solar, comments: “The next phase of the energy transition is not just about deploying more renewable energy – it is about finding ways to develop projects much faster. Solar and storage developers are dealing with increasingly complex decisions around land, grid access, permitting and project viability, and technology has a major role to play in removing those bottlenecks. Glint Solar is tackling that challenge at a critical point in the development process. Having built and scaled a climate software company myself, I’m excited to help the team take that technology into more markets and through its next stage of growth."

Simen Fure Jørgensen, CEO of Glint Solar, adds: “Lubomila has done something particularly relevant to where Glint Solar is today: she has built a European climate-tech software company from the ground up, scaled it internationally and worked with some of the world’s largest companies. That experience is enormously valuable as we enter our next phase of growth. She also brings a strong perspective on where technology can have the greatest impact on the energy transition, and I’m looking forward to having that voice around the board table.”

About Glint Solar

Headquartered in Oslo, Norway, Glint Solar is an AI-powered SaaS platform that helps developers accelerate the development of utility-scale solar, battery energy storage (BESS), and hybrid projects. Used by developers across more than 35 countries, the platform simplifies complex grid, site, and permitting processes by turning geospatial and regulatory data into clear feasibility insights in hours rather than weeks.

By bringing project data together in a single platform, Glint Solar enables business development teams to assess sites and create early-stage project designs independently, freeing engineering teams to focus on optimizing the most promising projects. Its realistic 3D visualizations and BESS noise modelling also help developers clearly communicate potential project impacts to external stakeholders, helping increase permit approval rates by up to 30%, reduce consultant costs by up to 70%, and accelerate projects towards Ready-to-Build status.
