Fronius presents new solutions for the energy revolution

(Wels, 26/03/2019) Fronius Solar Energy will be exhibiting its wide range of solutions for the energy revolution at Intersolar, the world’s leading trade fair for the solar industry (15 to 17 May 2019 in Munich). In addition to sector integration solutions, highlights will also include the new Fronius GEN24 Plus battery inverter and the Fronius Tauro project inverter. The focus will be on cost-effective solutions that are tailored specifically to the individual needs of the customer. The company will also be exhibiting its award-winning hydrogen refuelling system, the SOLH2UB, as an example of how green hydrogen can be generated and used as the energy source of the future.

As part of their vision of 24 hours of sun – a future in which 100% of the world’s energy needs are covered by renewable sources – Fronius already offers a number of solutions for the energy revolution.  “We are looking forward to presenting visitors to the trade fair with even more solutions for integrating the electricity, heating and mobility sectors. I would like to draw attention to our new GEN24 Plus battery inverter, the Fronius Tauro project inverter and our hydrogen solutions in particular,“, says Martin Hackl, Global Director Solar Energy at Fronius International GmbH.

New inverters complete the product range
The new Fronius Primo GEN24 Plus and Fronius Symo GEN24 Plus hybrid inverters will be just one of the many highlights at this year’s Intersolar. With these products, the solar energy specialist is now offering storage solutions for the single-phase and three-phase segment, as well as in the higher power range. The inverters are easy to use and have many innovative features. For example, the individual emergency power variants ensure a very high degree of supply reliability in the home. One of the innovations, the PV Point, provides a basic emergency power supply, even without a battery. For customers who already have a storage system, the devices offer a tried-and-tested full back-up solution that can supply the entire household with emergency power.

Another highlight of the trade fair stand will be the Fronius Tauro. Fronius designed the robust project inverter for use in unsheltered outdoor locations (IP 65), so that it is perfectly suited to large-scale systems ranging from 100 kilowatts to five megawatts. The investment and operating costs of large-scale systems can be reduced to a minimum thanks to this inverter. “The new GEN24 and Tauro inverters complete our product range and we can offer our customers the best possible support for all their challenges,“ summarises Martin Hackl.

Hydrogen as the energy source of the future

Hydrogen that has been produced in an environmentally friendly manner has huge potential to revolutionise the energy supply as both an alternative to fossil fuels in the mobility sector and as a long-term storage medium for renewable energy. The Fronius SOLH2UB acts as a central hub for solar energy and enables the innovative integration of the electricity, mobility and heating sectors. Hydrogen is thereby created, stored, distributed and converted back into electricity using photovoltaics. This sustainable mobility and energy solution for businesses and local authorities will also be on display at the Fronius stand. The project was awarded the Austrian National Environmental & Energy Technology Prize in 2018.
