Eternal Sun delivers Solar PV laboratory to the Energy research Centre of the Netherlands.

The Hague, Petten – 22 september 2015

Dutch high-tech Company Eternal Sun, specialized in solar testing equipment, has facilitated the Energy research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN) with a solar-PV testing-laboratory with a hot-spot upgrade. This laboratory will enable ECN to engage in solar-PV testing, and will allow them to meet the latest testing standards in the solar industry. The added upgrade is especially designed for finding the weak spot, also hot-spot, in the solar panel.

According to Mr. Roest, CTO of Eternal Sun, “designing the equipment for the hot-spot test according to the certification specifications was a challenge as this test is one of the most complex tests to perform. The successful completion of the project was realized because of the excellent cooperation with the employees of ECN”.

Jan Bultman, Business Development Manager of the Solar Energy unit: “ECN is very pleased with the equipment that Eternal Sun has supplied. We are now able to measure behaviour of PV modules that we were not able to measure before. We as ECN think that it is phenomenal that the Netherlands are in the lead when it comes to scientific research in the solar industry. Companies such as Eternal Sun attribute a great deal to this. We are pleased to be able to attribute to the growth in this industry”.
