Enviromena, a leading independent power producer (IPP) specialising in solar and battery storage across the UK and Europe is pleased to announce the appointment of Thornton Allen as its new Head of Legal.
Thornton joins Enviromena from green hydrogen development specialist Protium, bringing with him a wealth of legal expertise in the renewable energy sector.
He has held a number of key legal roles throughout his career, including Legal Counsel at Clean Earth Energy, where he supported onshore wind farm developments in Scotland and both ground mounted and commercial rooftop solar projects.
Earlier, during the peak of the Feed-in Tariff years, he played a pivotal role in advising the company now known as British Solar Renewables, assisting in the acquisition of numerous solar farm sites.
With a deep passion for supporting renewable energy projects from initial development through to commercial operation, Thornton’s expertise will be instrumental in further strengthening Enviromena’s in-house legal capabilities as the company continues to expand.
