Ees Europe Presents A Comprehensive Accompanying Program Dedicated To Innovative Storage Technologies

Munich, March 22, 2016 – The accompanying program for ees Europe, the continent’s largest exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems, offers visitors numerous opportunities to engage in discussion with industry experts and to find out about new products, services and solutions for innovative storage technologies. The ees Forum features presentations on the topics of storage practices and e-mobility and renewable energies. In the Smart Renewable Energy Forum, interested visitors can find out everything they need to know about the devices and communication technologies for the grid integration of photovoltaics and wind power. From June 22-24, 2016, exhibitors and visitors to Messe München are invited to network and discuss the latest market trends.

Safe, clean and above all smart – this is what the energy supply and mobility of the future should look like. Electricity storage systems are a key component of this vision. For example, as part of the smart grid, PV home storage systems optimize system and supply reliability by ensuring a balance between power production and consumption, thereby reducing the need for grid expansion. The market for PV storage systems is booming. EuPD Research forecasts that by 2020, the market will have increased fourfold to nearly 900 million euros annually. In this context, e-mobility is also becoming increasingly important, because as mobile storage devices, electric vehicles have an important role to play in the power supply of the future. At the summit on e-mobility in early February of this year, the German government once again confirmed its commitment to fuel-free driving, standing by its goal of putting a million electric cars on German roads by 2020. Visitors to ees Europe, the international exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems, can learn about current market developments and industry trends. Approximately 200 exhibitors will be represented from June 22-24 at ees Europe in Munich, which is once again taking place in parallel to Intersolar Europe, the world’s leading exhibition for the solar industry and its partners. Visitors can expect a comprehensive accompanying program that will highlight new technologies and international market developments as well as the technical challenges facing the industry.

ees Forum – Experts under the spotlight
Presentations and panel discussions will fuel conversations among experts at the ees Forum, which focuses on ees exhibitor innovations, combining renewable energy and e-mobility as well as the topic of storage practices. The program also features a session exploring second life batteries and battery recycling. One of the highlights on June 22, 2016 is the presentation of the ees AWARD finalists beginning at 10:30am. Each year, the organizers present the award in recognition of outstanding innovations in energy storage technology. The winners will be announced at the subsequent award ceremony, which begins at 4:30pm in the Innovation and Application Forum at Intersolar Europe. The ees Forum is co-organized by the International Battery and Energy Storage Alliance (IBESA) and sponsored by Pylon Technologies Co., Ltd. and Ingeteam Power Technology, S.A.
