Green energy company Ecotricity won ‘Best Independent Supplier’ at the Energy Excellence Awards in London last night.
In a showcase of the top energy suppliers in the UK gas and power market, Ecotricity claimed the award for its innovative ‘not-for-dividend’ business model and pioneering attitude to customer service.

The award comes hot on the heels of Ecotricity’s recent efforts to boost transparency in the energy sector – publishing a customer service league table of all UK energy companies – to stop suppliers hiding their poor customer complaint record.
