Dual Lane Transport Increases Throughput Rate Of Rehms Fast Firing PV Systems

Last month’s Intersolar exhibition saw some of the world’s leading solar authorities outline a bright future for the German solar industry, which has been tipped by the German Solar Association to account for 3% of the country’s gross electricity consumption this year. On the back of this trend, the issue of throughput is paramount, which is why the industry is increasingly looking to companies such as Rehm Thermal Systems to deliver faster firing solutions.

Rehm’s Fast Firing Systems for mono and polycrystalline solar cell manufacturing are based on a modular design which enables a variety of production line layouts. Within this, the advanced system is also available with a dual lane transport system, taking all the performance advantages of the single-lane system but driving throughput levels up to 3800 pcs. per hour. The innovative conveyor system is also designed to meet a wide range of feed requirements, thanks to diverse belt widths and belt types. A variety of mesh conveyor belts are available for use with the Rehm Fast-Firing System, incorporating stand-offs to reduce the contact area in between the substrate and the conveyor. Plus, with separate belt systems in the technology’s firing and cooling zones, precise thermal control is enabled through minimal heat carryover and quick wafer cooling following firing.
