DIAB gets a second wind

It is clear that the tide has turned for DIAB. As the wind energy market in China and the USA recovers from the downturn that occurred between 2010 and 2012, sales keep surging for this Laholm based company owned by Ratos. DIAB reports a very strong first half of 2015. After a strong first quarter of the year, the success continues within all of DIAB’s market segments.

DIAB is a global leader in the development, manufacturing and sales of sandwich composite materials for various types of composite structures. DIAB’s materials all share a unique combination of low weight, high strength, good insulation properties and great chemical resistance. By reducing the weight of the finished product and its need for maintenance, DIAB’s materials contribute to reducing energy consumption and the environmental impact of a product throughout its life cycle.

Sandwich composite materials are used in a variety of applications. An important area are wind turbine blades. Other significant segments are Marine, Aerospace, Transport and Industry, where sandwich composites are used to manufacture parts for boats, airplanes, trains and buses as well as for building construction.
