Following the acquisition of Weiss Energie France (Weiss) and Biomasse Services ét Maintenance (BSM) from Groupe Roullier, the Dall Group has now been formed. The new group consists of Weiss, BSM as well as Dall Energy. Dall Energy founder, Jens Dall Bentzen, is the new Group CEO, while former Torben Høberg, has been appointed lead Dall Energy as the new Managing Director.
2024 was a year of immense growth and development for the Danish green-tech company, Dall Energy, with the acquisition of Weiss and BSM from Groupe Roullier. And 2025 spells even more progress…
A New Group and a New Managing Director
Hence, the Dall Group has just been formed to connect the many businesses under one Dall-moniker, with a Dall Energy-branch and a W&B-branch – and has Dall Energy-founder Jens Bentzen as Group CEO.
This move means that as of January 31st 2025, he has stepped down as Managing Director of Dall Energy. Instead, (now) former Dall Energy COO Torben Høberg has stepped into the role.
“I am honored by the opportunity to head up Dall Energy as Managing Director, and I look forward to leading the day-to-day operations and the strategic development of the company. This includes engaging even more with our clients and partners, as we continue to expand and grow”, Torben Høberg said.
A better division of responsibilities means better business
As the group grows, the organisation becomes increasingly complex. Thus, the formation of the Dall Group provides a clear division of management responsibilities – and makes for a better business, overall.
For Group CEO, Jens Bentzen, this means that he will now only focus on product and technology-innovation as well as strategic business development, including an upcoming pyrolysis-branch.
“To keep the momentum going and to develop as a business, it is vital to have Managing Directors solely dedicated to leading each branch. Even if that means letting go of the day-to-day management, the group CEO-function allows me to focus on taking the entire group to the next level”, adds Jens Bentzen.
About Torben Høberg
• Torben has been at Dall Energy since 2023. As of February 1st, 2025, he became Managing Director.
• Torben has previously worked for FLSmidth, GEA Group, AET and Danfoss.
• Torben has a degree from the Danish Technical University (DTU).
• Torben Høberg is 42 years old and lives north of Copenhagen with his wife and two children.
• Torben is a kayaker and hunter, and he is also interested in coffee and sourdough baking.
