CWind Taiwan to deliver crew transfer service for wpd Yunlin project construction phase

Taipei, 1 st September 2020. CWind Taiwan announced today that it has been awarded a contract by wpd to provide a Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) at the YunNeng wind farm during the two-year construction phase starting this June.

Following the successful delivery of bathymetry surveys at the wind farm, CWind Taiwan will deploy its CTV, CWind Phantom, to support the crew transfer for the construction works, at the 80 turbine-site, which is expected to generate 640 MW upon completion. CWind Phantom was imported and reflagged in 2019 by CWind Taiwan and has carried out numerous crew transfer projects since then. The vessel is currently conducting an UXO survey at one of the leading Taiwanese offshore wind farms.

Ethan Wang, Commercial Director at CWind Taiwan, commented “We’ve been supporting wpd in their GuanYin and Yunlin projects since 2018 and we’re pleased to continue to provide critical services to the customer with this additional scope of work. It is both a great honour that our fleet and crew are widely recognised by our clients and a ringing endorsement of our decision to provide market-leading, fully localised solutions to the Taiwanese offshore wind industry.”
