CT Offshore installs last cable on Gode Wind 2+1

On 26 February 2016, CT Offshore installed the last inter-array cable on DONG Energy’s Gode Wind 2+1 Offshore Wind Farm in the German part of the North Sea.

“The cable installation was successfully completed through good team work with the entire project team, including our clients DONG Energy. Gode Wind is the largest pro- ject to date for CT Offshore and it is a great achievement that our project team and off- shore crew have now completed the installation of the 97 inter-array cable. We can all be very satisfied,” says Jens Frederik Hansen, Chairman at CT Offshore.

The newly purpose built subsea trencher ROV, the CTO 107-1100, buried all the ca- bles successfully. The new trencher ROV has an operating depth of 100 metres but with an option of up to 1,500 metres, which means that the trencher ROV also can be used for various other industry cable laying tasks besides inter-array cabling at offshore wind farms.
