Controlling And Monitoring Large Solar Thermal Systems

Hotels, resorts and sports facilities are, among others, the ideal sectors for the application of renewable energy systems – for most common tourist destinations usually have a sunny, warm climate. RESOL has the perfect solution for controlling, monitoring and maintaining your large solar thermal system easily and efficiently.

In the wide range of controllers from the basic RESOL DeltaSol® BS series to the widely configurable controllers such as the DeltaSol® MX, the perfect match for each system layout can be found.

RESOL solar controllers provide all the functions required for the control of large solar systems, e. g. for a hotel building. For example, a twin pump function ensures equal runtime distribution between two parallel pumps, a special thermal disinfection function is designed for legionella control. Additionally, to protect the system from overheating on extremely sunny days, the heat dissipation function can be used. It is also possible to include space heating backup or complete heating circuits, DHW heating and a circulation for a more comfortable hot water supply. Precise energy metering is not only important for the comprehensive control of the system, it also is required for many local and national support and incentive programs.

Many RESOL controllers are certified for the North American market, conforming with Canadian as well as US-American standards. Of course, they are also compliant with European and worldwide standards.

You can monitor, manage and maintain your system remotely via a KM1 Communication module or the DL2 and DL3 Dataloggers. Monitoring via the VBus® is also possible over a local network (LAN) or through a direct connection to a PC by means of a VBus® / USB interface adapter.

Both the KM1 Communication module and the DL2 or DL3 Dataloggers serve as Web interfaces and allow you to connect your unit to the VBus.net service portal.
Via VBus.net, system data can be viewed quickly and easily with just a few clicks. VBus.net is a service portal that allows access to the solar system from the Internet without having to configure any DSL router. To use the VBus.net service, the system has to be equipped with a KM1, DL2 or DL3. Simply sign up with user name and password, and after a small set of steps you’re ready to connect your account to your device!
