Collaboration of meteocontrol and Enovos / Relaunch of www.meteocontrol.com

Augsburg / Saarbrücken, 10.06.2014 – meteocontrol GmbH and Enovos are collaborating on the development of a comprehensive portal solution for investors in solar and wind power. The two energy sector specialists have agreed to bundle their expertise in a joint project. A finance module will be added to the enhanced Investor View in VCOM that enables investors to monitor the profitability of the systems as well as key technical data. The solution is suited for application in both PV and wind power projects.

The development work will enhance meteocontrol’s Virtual Control Room (VCOM) monitoring system. The Investor View already provides clear and attractive graphics showing the most important data about technical performance, target vs. actual figures and the annual balance sheet. Investors also have access to monthly reports and information about system incidents and upcoming maintenance work in the PV power plant.

During the course of the collaboration with the energy provider Enovos, the Virtual Control Room will be optimized to create a renewable energy platform combining both solar and wind projects. The first step is focused on a module that provides up-to-the-minute information about the financial status of all projects. This status data will be calculated from the energy yield, the price per kilowatt hour and the applicable country-specific payment model. “It’s not always easy for investors to make a quick and accurate assessment of their power plant projects, mainly due to the different and sometimes extremely complex payment models,” explains Martin Schneider, Managing Director of meteocontrol, “and that’s why it’s so important to have a finance module that delivers the necessary transparency. The investor can see at a glance whether the system is delivering the expected return, without worrying about the technical details.” A comprehensive solution that includes financial transparency is an important element in the Enovos concept. “Energy controlling is vital to transparency when presenting the commercial aspects of energy flows. This new investor solution represents a real enhancement to our services in the renewable energy sector, and delivers substantial value to our customers”, says Jörg Christiansen, Managing Director of Enovos Future GmbH.

Relaunch of www.meteocontrol.com

Augsburg, June 10, 2014 – To coincide with Intersolar Europe 2014, meteocontrol GmbH is unveiling a new website to its customers and business partners. The key aspect of the redesign is the clear presentation of services and products for planning, constructing and operating solar systems. The “Services” and “Products” mouseover buttons on the start page provide visitors straightaway with a quick overview, while a clear navigation structure leads directly to the more detailed information and downloads. As far as remote monitoring is concerned, the owners and operators of PV systems will still be able to access the safer’Sun Public, safer’Sun Professional and VCOM monitoring portals from the start page. Slide shows and videos give the homepage a modern look and make it easier to access up-to-date information. The meteocontrol website will also be rolled out at the same time in English, French, Italian and Spanish.
