Chemitek Solar, a leading innovator in sustainable solutions for the solar industry, announces the development of the Drone AgroPV Cleaning Agent, an innovative cleaning solution specifically designed for drone-based cleaning of agrivoltaic (AgroPV) systems.
Agrivoltaic systems present unique operational challenges, including the accumulation of organic soiling, agricultural residues, fine dust, limited accessibility, and coexistence with crops. These conditions often limit or render conventional cleaning methods impractical, creating the need for advanced, drone-compatible chemical solutions that ensure effective cleaning while preserving
agricultural activities and crop development.
The Drone AgroPV Cleaning Agent integrates Chemitek Solar’s AgroPV product range, completing a portfolio of biodegradable cleaning, water treatment, and soiling mitigation solutions designed for agrivoltaic systems.
The development is part of the Alliance for Energy Transition (ATE – Aliança para a Transição Energética), Project Code: 56, Reference No. C644914747-00000023, funded by the PRR – Recovery and Resilience Plan (Portugal), reinforcing Chemitek Solar’s commitment to technological innovation, energy transition, and the sustainable integration of solar energy production with agricultural activity.
Drone AgroPV Cleaning Agent – Key Highlights

The product is being developed with a strong focus on sustainability and safety, including:
• Biodegradable formulation
• Ecotoxicity assessment
• Compatibility with seed germination and plant growth
• Safety certification for photovoltaic modules and agricultural environments by independent laboratories
Designed for complex agricultural environments, the Drone AgroPV Cleaning Agent enables efficient cleaning of AgroPV installations where ground access is limited or undesirable, helping to maintain photovoltaic module performance without compromising agricultural productivity.

The official launch of the Drone AgroPV Cleaning Agent is scheduled for Intersolar Europe 2026, where Chemitek Solar will present this solution to the international market as part of its AgroPV product range. Distribution will be managed through Chemitek’s global partner network.
