BELECTRIC completes three solar farms for EDF Renewables in Israel

  • Pduyim (14 MWp), Mefalsim (13 MWp) and Kfar Maimon (7 MWp) are located in the Israeli Negev Desert

Kolitzheim (Germany), Be’er Sheva (Israel) – End of October BELECTRIC has just completed three solar plants in the Israeli Negev Desert. BELECTRIC built and commissioned the plants with a total installed capacity of 34 MWp as EPC (Engineering-Procurement-Construction) provider on behalf of the owner EDF Renewables.

“We are delighted to be EDF Renewables’ EPC partner for their comprehensive solar new-build program in Israel”, explains Ingo Alphéus, CEO of BELECTRIC Solar & Battery GmbH. “This further strengthens our position as a leading EPC and O&M contractor for large ground mounted PV projects in the growing Israeli solar market“.

“Last year, we had the opportunity to work with EDF Renewables on the 35 MWp Ashalim project that we finished ahead of schedule”, adds Anna Velikansky, Managing Director of BELECTRIC Israel Ltd. “Based on this success, we have built and commissioned three projects of the same magnitude of megawatt this year. We have completed Pduyim, Mefalsim and Kfar Maimon ahead of schedule also, allowing EDF Renewables to be the first developer connecting to the grid this year. During construction and commissioning we have met the high expectations that EDF Renewables has set in place for Quality and Safety standards.”
