Goleta, Calif., October 12, 2024 – Bardex, a leading global provider of solutions for marine-based heavy lifting, transfer, and restraint, is excited to announce the establishment of its Engineering Leadership Team. The organizational change within the engineering arm of the company includes the addition of a Lifecycle Services Business Unit Manager role, which will be filled by Antonio Osio whose objective will be to grow the spare parts and services portion of Bardex’s business. In this role, Osio will focus on the front-end customer interface, developing field service personnel, and exploring growth opportunities for the Life Cycle Services group.
The other roles within Bardex’s Engineering Leadership Team are as follows:
- Senior Design Engineering Manager (Alexander McAuley). This role will focus on improving project workflow, increasing Engineering’s technical abilities, modernizing design software, and streamlining processes.
- Lead Proposal Engineer (Gary Rhodes). This role is tasked with setting up and formalizing the tendering process within Engineering with the goal of streamlining cost-effective and fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Project Engineering Manager (Sam Maling). This role oversees the technical execution of major projects within Bardex, which involves a robust team of project engineers and subject matter experts who work cross-functionally with the Design Engineering group.
Nathan Shaw, Bardex’s current director of engineering, will head the new leadership team.
Shaw says the primary objective of the team is to have a clear and strong sales focus. However, at Bardex, that is not the same thing as having a strong focus on selling. Instead, it is about continuing to improve, adapt, and innovate to meet the ever-changing needs of clients in the shipyard and offshore energy industries, as well as to better serve the shareholders of the 100% employee-owned company.
“I’m excited about the energy and ideas everyone in Engineering brings to the company,” says Shaw. “And I’m confident that new leadership will contribute significantly to accomplishing our shared goals.”
