The Ammonit Wind Tunnel GmbH has been accredited by the German accreditation body (DAkkS) as independent calibration laboratory according to DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025. Additionally, Ammonit Wind Tunnel GmbH meets the high quality standards of MEASNET for anemometer calibration.
After the successful accreditation by the German accreditation body DAkkS and confirmation of the MEASNET membership, Ammonit Wind Tunnel starts calibrating wind sensors in its wind tunnel in Bargeshagen near Rostock (Germany).
Ammonit Wind Tunnel is an accredited independent calibration laboratory according to DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025 for flow measurands – flow speed of gases. Ammonit Wind Tunnel successfully attended the MEASNET / IECRE Round Robin Test and became member of the MEASNET group in April 2017. The wind tunnel meets the high MEASNET requirements for anemometer calibration. Based on its DAkkS accreditation and the MEASNET membership Ammonit Wind Tunnel is able to calibrate anemometers in its own wind tunnel according to IEC 61400-12-1. Calibrated wind speed sensors are essential to perform high quality energy assessments for wind farm projects.
Ammonit Wind Tunnel is a subsidiary of WIND-consult GmbH and Ammonit Measurement GmbH. The new company founded in 2015 pools the competences of Ammonit Measurement and WIND-consult in the field of flow measurement and meteorological measurement technology. At its headquarter in Bargeshagen, Ammonit Wind Tunnel operates a wind tunnel of Goettinger type with half-open working section and a nozzle cross section of 1.20 x 1.20 meters. The wind tunnel design allows also the calibration of large sensors, such as ultrasonic anemometers. Additionally, the wind tunnel can be used for wind sensor classification as well as for flow measurement projects, e.g., of 3D models.
