51 MW Kalmykia wind farm project in Russia on positive course to realisation


• FWT to supply 20 x FWT 2500 wind turbines to Kalmykia wind energy project with a nominal capacity of 2.55 MW
• Delivery scheduled to start by end of 2016, start of commercial operation scheduled for 2017
• Corporate Energies company, Energy Competence Centre (ECC), assigned as owner’s engineer

Berlin, 05 July 2016. Recently ALTEN Ltd. confirmed that it placed a binding order with the German manufacturer FWT for the 51 MW wind farm to be erected in the Republic of Kalmykia in southern part of the Russian Federation. The Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the turnkey realisation of the Kalmykia onshore wind farm project “Priyutnenskaya VES 51 MW” comprises engineering, supply and installation of FWT 2500 wind turbines of the German manufacturer FWT with a nominal capacity of 2.55 MW. Delivery of the wind turbines is scheduled to start by end of 2016, whilst commissioning is expected in the first half of 2017.

FWT Production GmbH is a German manufacturer of wind turbines in the range from 2 to 3 MW. Established in 2013, FWT is based on the know-how of former wind power pioneer Fuhrländer AG and consisting of the approved technology of German engineering company wind to energy w2e GmbH. Meanwhile it has increased its track record by delivering turbines to Kazakhstan, Poland and Germany.
