The company brings its VARTA pulse energy storage system to market in Australia
VARTA Storage is expanding again – after Italy and Great Britain, the company is now taking on the fifth continent. Effective immediately, households from Perth to Brisbane can purchase energy storage systems “made in Germany” – the VARTA pulse to be precise. The small, compact wall-mounted storage system is available in two performance classes: pulse 3 with 3.3 kilowatt hours (kWh) and pulse 6 with 6.5 kWh. “The storage systems are compact and handy and yet of high quality. Perfect for anyone who not only wants to generate energy themselves, but also wants to store it and consume it whenever they need it,” explains Gordon Clements, General Manager Residential at VARTA Storage.
VARTA Storage products are already available in five countries, and the company is now adding the sixth country. Gordon Clements describes the market launch as a major opportunity for the company: “The Australian market offers immense potential and holds great growth opportunities for us.” 2017 was a record year for PV in Australia. Systems with a total performance of 1,250 megawatts (MW) were installed, taking the overall total installed on the continent to roughly 7,000 MW. Accordingly, the potential for battery storage systems is immense.
VARTA Storage energy storage systems are characterised by simple and very quick installation, safe technology and high performance. VARTA pulse is ready to use in just 30 minutes thanks to the plug & play design, and can be combined with all sources of green energy. With dimensions of 60 x 69 x 18.5 centimetres, it fits into even the smallest of spaces. VARTA pulse 3 weighs just 45 kilograms; the larger VARTA pulse 6 tips the scales at 65 kilograms.
