SHIPYARDS AND SHIPOWNERS WILL FEATURE IN THE WORLD MARITIME WEEK’S B2B MEETINGS

World Maritime Week, which will be holding its third edition from 5th to 7th October at Bilbao Exhibition Centre, will offer B2B meetings, in which the main profiles will be national and international shipyards and shipowners. These meetings will be held on Wednesday 6th October in the morning and afternoon and on Thursday 7th October in the morning. Networking or the creation of spaces for the exchange of information with different professionals is one of the meeting’s most valued and awaited spaces, which have become a reference point thanks to a quality programme.

As for conferences, the first session of Sinaval, the Shipbuilding Congress, will address issues such as state ships, green navigation, shipping companies and decarbonisation or the digital transformation, cybersecurity or digital twins. Eurofishing will revolve around digitalisation, electrification and the ship of the future. On the second day, the challenges of the Basque fishing sectors will be discussed. The FuturePortBilbao port congress will address issues, such as Green Deals Implications and harmonisation for digitalisation or automation.

The Oil&Gas Conference, related to the two aspects of the Oil and Gas sector, Upstream and Downstream, will deal with issues such as the analysis and prospects of the energy environment, the transformation of Oil&Gas companies towards multi-energy services (energy transformation towards environmentally friendly technologies), as well as the sector’s current situation and evolution. Finally, as a new feature of the event, the renewable marine energy conference Ocean Energy Conference, will be incorporated, in which strategies for the development of ocean energy, how to finance an emerging sector or how to take advantage of wave energy will be discussed.
