Organized by the Spanish Wind Energy Association (Asociacin Empresarial Elica – AEE), of which SGS is a member, the two-day event presents a perfect opportunity for the leading players in the wind energy sector to exchange new information on issues relating to health and safety at work.

Among topics to be discussed at this event are the main challenges of risk prevention in the wind energy sector, prevention policies and safety measures, product safety, certification of wind turbines as well as inspection and investigation of accidents and action plans.

The International Meeting on Risk Prevention in the Wind Energy Sector presents a perfect opportunity for SGS Wind Energy Competence Centre to present its wide portfolio of services for the wind energy sector, including Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) Management for Wind Farm Projects, Risk Management and Technical Due Diligence.

The key objective of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) Management provided by SGS is to optimize the lifecycle revenue generated by any wind farm project, by assuring high quality and safe practice during the project’s realization phase.

Through Risk Management, SGS Wind Energy Services ensures that any possible wind farm risks are reduced and any investment is secured throughout the whole wind farm project development.

Furthermore, SGS offers Technical Due Diligence during which the risks’ probability of occurrence and their potential impact on the project are detected. SGS’s team of experts evaluates the technical feasibility of the project and reviews all the assets and data available to reveal the potential areas of concern for the investor.

On May 12, Isaac Montero, Inspector for Regulatory Inspection from SGS Spain, will give an interesting speech on Safety Regulatory Controls with a focus on various services for Regulatory Inspection. The speech will be part of the session VII, titled “Inspection, Investigation of Accidents and Action Plans”, which is scheduled to take place at 11.45 am.
