The Government’s announcement of a consultation into the future support for low carbon heat beyond the Renewable Heat Incentive (28th April 2020) has prompted industry to respond.
Dr Matthew Trewhella, Managing Director of Kensa Contracting, the large scale delivery partner of Kensa Heat Pumps’ ground source heat pumps with shared ground loop arrays, said: “Progress in renewable heat has been slower than other areas and a long-term policy and support mechanism is a vital component on the route to net zero carbon. We welcome the launch of future support for renewable heat.
“Kensa will read the documents carefully and then submit our responses to BEIS. We urge our customers or partners to contact us if they have any questions about what the consultation might mean for them, and we will help you assess the implications. These conversations will help us shape our responses to BEIS, and ultimately help shape the long-term transition to a lower carbon future.”
The consultation closes on the 7th July 2020. The consultation can be accessed here: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/future-support-for-low-carbon-heat.
