“Top 100” Award
Placed amongst the most innovative medium-sized companies
Ranga Yogeshwar congratulates

Asslar, July 5, 2013. On July 5, 2013, a very special summit will take place in the German capital of Berlin: The most innovative medium-sized companies of Germany meet for the awards ceremony. At the Axel-Springer-Passage they will receive the innovation seal “Top 100” from mentor Ranga Yogeshwar. The compamedia GmbH has been bestowing the Innovation Award for the past 20 years. Pfeiffer Vacuum will also be there as one of the award winners.

Pfeiffer Vacuum is one of the leading global manufacturers of components and systems for vacuum generation, measurement and analysis. The different fields of application of the products from the Hesse region show how diverse and innovative the business of the top innovator is, with its approximately 2,300 employees worldwide. For example, when scientists at the European Laboratory for Particle Physics (CERN) shoot protons at each other at nearly the speed of light in the world’s largest particle accelerator, turbopumps from Asslar provide the necessary vacuum. They have the high compression necessary for light gases and meet the most stringent technical requirements.

Even when Swedish icebreakers travel through the Arctic Ocean to explore the reasons why the Arctic pack ice is melting, products of the medium-sized company that was founded in 1890 are on board. However, these devices can be used not only in the Arctic Ocean but also in the Chilean Atacama Desert: The European Southern Observatory ESO uses Pfeiffer Vacuum pumps in their telescopes.
