HANSA HEAVY LIFT GAINS ISO ENERGY MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATION


Hamburg, Germany, Monday, 5th December 2016 – HANSA HEAVY LIFT has been awarded the ISO 50001 Energy Management Certification for best practice in energy management. 

Auditors from the classification society body DNV GL certified the heavy lift specialist after its ships and offices were found in compliance with ISO standards.

“With an effective energy management system, we ensure we are able to identify our major consumers of energy, set targets for reduction of energy and initiate plans to achieve this,” said Steve Dawson, Director Fleet Management, HANSA HEAVY LIFT. 

“A decrease in our energy consumption means we are also able to reduce our environmental impact as well as achieving a reduction in energy costs. Our certification to ISO 50001 helps to strengthen our already robust ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.”

HANSA HEAVY LIFT held a ceremony on 1st of December, 2016 together with DNV GL to celebrate the certification as well as to highlight the importance of energy efficiency.

HANSA HEAVY LIFT specialises in heavy lift, super heavy lift, and project cargo, with an increasing focus on transport and installation (T&I) in the subsea oil and gas markets, as well as the offshore windfarm sector.
