The Emirates have invited the world’s industry elite to the World Future Energy Summit, under management by Masdar as a way of bringing the necessary expertise to their country. This is where the best of the best will exchange information, discuss concepts and lay the ground for commercial partnerships, says Masdar boss Sultan Al Jaber. The summit, which is being sponsored by Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has a star-studded guest list: former British prime minister, Tony Blair, will be attending as speaker, the German federal government is sending minister for the environment, Sigmar Gabriel, to the Gulf, and the worldwide renowned Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) will also be prominently represented alongside Greenpeace, Siemens and Deutsche Bank.

The companies that will be presenting environmental technologies and solutions in Abu Dhabi include BASF and MAN, SAP Solar, Mitsubishi, Shell, BP – and DEGERenergie. This global market leader from Horb is the first and so far only manufacturer of tracking systems for solar plants who will be actively participating in this event.
