Seawork International, the largest European Workboat Show – in Southampton, England – has proved successful for Danish Yachts, increasing the shipyard’s order book. Billed as an award winning finalist at the Show, there was a lot of interest from all over Europe in this unique carbon fibre vessel.
With two vessels now delivered this year, the first to Grimsby and the second to the North coast of Germany, Danish Yachts are moving into a very busy period. Two further vessels are due to deliver later in 2013, which are already well under construction. Featuring a unique ballasting system, the SWATH operates in two modes – catamaran for fast transfer and SWATH or displacement mode for safe transfer onto the towers in a seaway.
A further feature ensuring safe transfer of personnel, is the customised high friction forward fendering system for stable connection, which includes sensor pressure monitoring.
