PES caught up with Dr. Frank Schlichting, CEO, Solare Datensysteme GmbH, to learn about the advances in their PV monitoring systems, developed over the years from their know-how and innovation and the importance of strong partnership….
PES: Welcome back to PES Solar magazine. Thanks for taking the time to speak with us. Would you like to begin by explaining a little about the background of your organisation and how you currently serve the solar/PV industry?
Dr. Frank Schlichting: The Solare Datensysteme GmbH specialises in developing and distributing monitoring systems for photovoltaic plants, with core competencies that include innovative products with short development cycles and the best price-performance ratio. It is available in more than 82 countries and monitors 249.054 PV-plants with an installed capacity of 10.88 GWp. SDS solutions make an important contribution to the successful integration of renewable energy into an intelligent power grid and help to make the successful transition to clean energy a reality.
We have been part of the BKW AG, an international operating energy- and infrastructure cooperation located in Bern, Switzerland, since 2015. Having such a strong business partner at our side, we are prepared for the upcoming challenges of the market.
So that we can react even quicker to demands and changes in the market, we are looking for new employees to join our company, especially in our research and development division. They will be encouraged to contribute to our energy revolution/transition.
