Offshore wind service provider CBED offers logistics and accommodation solutions to the offshore wind industry, with its walk-to-work vessel, Wind Innovation. PES caught up with Daniel Alon, General Manager for CBED, to get an update on what projects the company has been working on and to get the latest insights on efforts to reduce the environmental impact of its offshore operations.
PES: It is nice to welcome you back to PES, Daniel. Perhaps you can start by telling us what you have been working on, since the last time we spoke?
Daniel Alon: We have just finished a lengthy double contract with Ørsted on Hornsea One and the world’s largest wind farm, Hornsea Two. We have been working on these two projects since the end of 2020, with our service operation vessel (SOV), Wind Innovation, providing the daily logistics and accommodation for the offshore workers.
