Another record year, another superb show

After another record year of growth in 2011, PV now represents 70 GW of cumulative installed capacity globally, and produces up to 4 per cent peak demand in Europe. It’s no wonder that EU PVSEC is also going from strength to strength – as this year’s show will doubtless testify.

Even if the PV sector faces challenges in the short term, the prospects are strong for continued robust growth in the medium- to long-term, and the technology can become a mainstream energy source and achieve high penetration in the electricity mix.

Take part in the debate that surrounds our industry, head to this year’s 27th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC) – Conference 24-28 September 2012, and Exhibition 25-28 September 2012- in Frankfurt, Germany.

For many years, the European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition has combined a renowned international scientific conference with a leading PV industry exhibition and trade fair. Every year, over five conference days and four trade fair days, new products and technical innovations from all areas of photovoltaics and from all over the world are on show.

The EU PVSEC is supported by European and international organisations such as the European Commission, UNESCO, Natural Sciences Sector, WCRE (World Council for Renewable Energy), IPVEA (International Photovoltaic Equipment Association) and EPIA (European Photovoltaic Industry Association). The Technical Programme is coordinated by the European Commission, DG Joint Research Centre.
