PES: Welcome to PES Solar magazine. Thanks for talking with us. Would you like to begin by explaining a little about the background of your organization and how you currently serve the solar industry?
Martin Hackl: The Solar Energy Division has been involved in photovoltaics since 1992 and sells its products through a global network of sales partners. Exceptional products and services are what make the Fronius Solar Energy Division the quality leader in the global market and a model of sustainability.
The Solar Energy Division handles the sale of grid-connected inverters and energy storage solutions for three defined target groups: Residential, Commercial & Industrial, Rural Electrification.
Fronius continuously sets new standards worldwide with revolutionary products and new technologies. All Fronius devices are characterised by the very highest levels of quality, as they undergo numerous in-depth tests under state-of-the-art conditions.
Everything the Solar Energy Division does is based on the motto “24 hours of sun”; the Fronius vision for the energy revolution. This sets out the future of power generation from a Fronius point of view. The technologies and products created by the division contribute towards ensuring that all the energy in the future will come from renewable energy sources.
Self-consumption is just as important here as Smart Grids. Fronius is working hard to ensure that its inverters enable plant operators to consume as much of the energy they generate as possible.
