Youve Tried The Rest Now Try The Best

Now in its 14th year, RenewableUK Global Offshore Wind 2015 is the heart of the world’s largest offshore wind market; alive with original ideas, unexplored opportunities, new challenges and, most importantly, a common aspiration of a brighter future powered by renewable energy. Aparna Chopde talks us through what delegates can expect from this essential event.

Our world-class conference and exhibition is in tune with the pulse of the industry, bringing together thought leaders and game-changers from around the world to share their knowledge and experiences.

As always, this event promises delegates, exhibitors and sponsors unprecedented UK political engagement, while our rigorous speaker vetting and registration processes, mean that you will only hear from, and network with, delegates of the highest quality unlike other commercial events in the marketplace.

A dynamic conference programme

The conference programme at Global Offshore Wind 2015 promises to be as
dynamic and interesting as ever. From the challenges of obtaining consent, to analyses of project funding models emerging in Europe, there is something for everyone. Two high-level debates will involve industry big hitters, including Siemens Wind Power’s Michael Hannibal and Vattenfall’s Gunnar Groebler, debating the long-term future of offshore wind globally. We will also hear from top politicians helping to shape the future of offshore wind in the UK.

Across the two-day conference, delegates will hear from the likes of DONG Energy, EDF Energy Renewables, MHI Vestas Offshore Wind, Adwen and many more.

Of course, the issue of cost reduction will be on the agenda throughout – cropping up in all sessions but being the focus of two sessions in particular; Cost Reduction Through Collaboration in Operations and Maintenance, and Cost Reduction through Innovation.

Due to popular demand, this year our ‘Construction Lessons Learnt’ section has been given additional coverage, including an update on Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm – currently the largest in construction anywhere in Europe! This is a session not to be missed.
