Semco Maritime wins 5-year service contract for Parkwind on Arcadis Ost 1

Parkwind has awarded Semco Maritime a service contract on offshore wind park Arcadis Ost 1 in the Baltic Sea northeast of the German island of Rügen. The contract covers 2022-2027 and contributes to the realisation of Semco Maritime’s strategic ambition of increasing revenue from service assignments.

In 2022-2027, Semco Maritime will perform service assignments on the Arcadis Ost 1 project’s offshore substation, which Semco Maritime has been responsible for designing and implementing all electrical systems on during the construction phase. The project is expected to be commissioned in late 2023 and will contribute 257 MW of green energy to the European grid.

The contract includes scheduled and unscheduled service and maintenance, corrective maintenance and 24/7 monitoring and on duty call in connection with potential malfunction or disruption calling for immediate action.

”We are pleased to continue the great cooperation with Parkwind and look forward to taking on the service assignments on Arcadis Ost 1 for the coming five years. We will leverage our deep knowledge of the project and bring our technological knowhow, experience and competencies in play to support Parkwind’s ambition of creating a truly sustainable future,” says Senior Vice President, Renewables, Semco Maritime, Jacob Øbo Sørensen.

Semco Maritime has most recently worked for Parkwind in connection with the installation of electrical systems on the recently deployed offshore substation on the Arcadic Ost 1 project. The contract contributes to the realisation of Semco Maritime’s ambition of ensuring that service assignments account for 20% of group revenue by 2023.
