Dynamica opens a new Deepwater and Offshore Ropes division

Dynamica Ropes Offshore Division has invested in new ropemaking machinery and a new production facility for deepwater mooring tethers and hawsers.

This new purpose-built factory in Fredericia (Denmark) is located in the heart of the Offshore sites in Northern Europe.

“We are very proud to present our Deepwater Tethers. Our R&D department has been busy designing the ultimate rope construction, and now, after 2 years of preparation we are finally at the finish line” says Jørgen Sørensen, CEO at Dynamica Ropes.

The new facility will make it easier for the large reels of deepwater mooring tethers to be transferred to the sites ready for load out.

The factory in Fredericia covers 5000 m2 production facilities together with the 20.000m2 storage area. In addition, the group has a rope manufacturing subsidiary in Lithuania with 170 employees and 6000 m2 of factory floor.

In addition to the new rope production machinery, the factory includes a significantly larger Tether make-up area where the custom-made Tethers are spliced and fitted up. After the machine manufacturing of the Tether the last process of the manufacturing requires a man-hand and it is also space demanding.

“Our investment in manufacturing site for Tethers made with Dyneema® means that Dynamica Ropes is now ell placed to supply the needs of our offshore customers” says Kate Christensen, Business Development Manager at Dynamica Ropes.
