Connected Wind Services Sweden signs a Full-service hybrid agreement with EnBW


Connected Wind Services Group is proud to announce that the Swedish entity has signed a Full- service hybrid agreement on 43 Vestas V90 turbines, owned by EnBW, in Sweden.

With more than 35 years of experience and with service agreements on more than two hundred wind turbines in Sweden alone, Connected Wind Services Group is known as one of the largest and most recognized independent service providers in the northern Europe. Now the Swedish division of the group is taking the next step, strengthen the position in the full-service market in tough competition with major manufacturers and service providers within the wind energy business.

Earlier this year, the German-owned energy company EnBW Sweden sent out a request for service and maintenance of 43 wind turbines, and in competition with other service providers, Connected Wind Services Sweden won the task.

Multi-year contract based on trust

“- The five-year contract with EnBW acknowledges our strong position in the O&M area in Sweden. We have previously collaborated with EnBW on basic service contract as well as in main component projects, and we are enormously proud to have signed this agreement with one of the major utilities in the market”, says Torbjörn Sjölin, CEO of the Swedish division of Connected Wind Services.

According to the agreement Connected Wind Service will have full responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the 43 turbines owned by EnBW, divided on four wind farms in Mora and one in Dorotea municipality.

Fullservice Hybrid agreement based on performance

According to the Scoop of Supply, Connected Wind Service is fully responsible for maintaining the turbines, to secure a guaranteed technical availability level, in relation to the criteria set in the contract.

“- This is the first time Connected Wind Service in Sweden finalizes an agreement of this kind and scale, so in many ways it is a new, exciting chapter the business is entering. Fortunately, we already have skilled technicians in our organization, hence we are comfortable taking on the big responsibility. In addition, thanks to our group structure, we can urgently access additionally resources if needed”, says Robert Östman, Head of Sales and Marketing for Connected Wind Service in Sweden.
