Blue World Technologies gets new Chief Technology Officer with extensive industry experience

With a strong background, Dennis Naldal Jensen enters the position of Chief Technology Officer at Blue World Technologies. Dennis will take over from Co-founder Mads Bang, who will return to Aalborg University in the position of Innovation Director. In the role of CTO, Dennis will, as part of the company’s corporate management, lead the technology development of Blue World towards commercialisation.

Aalborg, Denmark, 25 May 2023 – With the start of series production of the company’s methanol fuel cells, Blue World Technologies has reached a stage where the organisation is strengthening its focus on industrialisation and the commercialisation of its products. On 1 June 2023, Dennis Naldal Jensen will join Blue World Technologies as Chief Technology Officer to lead the continuous development activities to meet market requirements and standards.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dennis Naldal Jensen to our team. Dennis has a long industrialisation background combined with profound experience within fuel cell technology in our primary markets. We are, therefore, very confident in having found the perfect candidate to lead our technology development towards commercialisation”, says Anders Korsgaard, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at Blue World Technologies and continues: “At the same time we thank Mads Bang for his tremendous engagement and efforts, and we wish him all the best in his return to Aalborg University”.

Having worked with technology development for more than two decades, Dennis Naldal Jensen has substantial knowledge within mechanical and thermal engineering, electronics, and fuel cell technology. He comes from a position as Vice President of Technology and Product Development at Ballard Power Systems.

“I am very happy to join the exciting journey Blue World Technologies is on. Over the past years, they have built an impressive and solid technology platform and brought the technology to series production. Ahead lies the exciting opportunities of mass deployment to high-impact markets, and with a commercial mindset I look forward to bringing high-quality products with a focus on efficiency and durability to customers around the world“, says Dennis Naldal Jensen.

Dennis Naldal Jensen is taking over the role of Chief Technology Officer from Mads Bang, who has decided to accept an offer to take on the position of Innovation Director at Aalborg University. Here Mads will support students and employees to start new businesses based on their research. While Mads – who is one of the three founders of Blue World Technologies – is passing on the torch as CTO, he will continue as an external consultant for Blue World in relation to technology innovation moving forward. Mads will also remain a shareholder in the company.

“It has been a tough decision, but I am very much looking forward to supporting new entrepreneurs in succeeding with their innovations. At the same time, I am very happy to be able to contribute to the continuous development of Blue World albeit in another role”, explains Mads Bang, Co-founder and resigning Chief Technology Officer at Blue World Technologies.
