Solis Awarded “Top PV Inverter Brand” by EUPD Research for Eighth Consecutive Year

08 February, 2023, Cape Town, South Africa: Ginlong (Solis) Technologies, one of the most experienced and largest inverter producers in the world is delighted to announce that, for the eighth year running, it has been awarded the prestigious seal of recognition for top inverter brand by respected global market research organisation, EUPD Research.

Underpinned by 22 years of experience and conducting over 100,000 interviews across more than 50 countries, the EUPD Research’s Top Brand PV seal is based on installer feedback around brand awareness, brand perception, purchasing preferences, customer satisfaction and recommendations.

Eric Zhang, Solis Global Sales Director, explains: “This eighth consecutive seal from EUPD Research not only cements Solis Technologies’ top market position for inverters in South Africa, but it also continues our recent and rapid ratings rise into 2023. During 2022 we were also proud to be ranked third in worldwide inverter shipments by S&P Global, to win the Green Leadership category in the Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards, and to be rated in the top two Chinese listed inverter companies by PVP365 – the country’s leading professional platform for solar industry news.”

Mr. Zhang continues: “It is widely hoped that 2023 will be a breakthrough year for solar roll-out in South Africa, as the country struggles with the economic and social impact of daily power outages on a creaking fossil-powered grid. The Top Brand PV seal from EUPD Research, combined with the recent launch of our enhanced sixth generation storage inverters, stand Solis in solid stead for continued growth in the region.”

Key enhancements to the company’s market-leading storage inverters include: a larger charge and discharge current of 125A for a global equivalent power range; a ‘1+N’ full energy storage capability; single or three phase functionality; 20% faster installation; and millisecond switchover times during supply interruptions.

The energy storage inverter is a core device in solar energy storage systems. It provides support to correct the instabilities in the grid. As a key technical component of new solar power systems, the energy storage inverter can greatly improve power regulation and safety assurance capabilities.

Markus A.W. Hoehner, Founder and CEO of EUPD Research, concludes: “EUPD Research has 22 years of in-depth expertise in measuring and analysing the perception of PV market intermediaries and end customers, and is globally known as the leading certification body within the solar industry. To win the EUPD Research Top Brand PV Seal for eighth consecutive year is an achievement and proves that Solis has successfully established itself amongst the most important suppliers in South Africa and beyond. We congratulate Solis on receiving this honour and wish every success in its continued growth trajectory as it continues setting the high standards that business partners and customers expect globally.”

The awards were presented during EUPD Research’s networking event on the Cape Town waterfront, South Africa, on the evening of Tuesday February 7th.
