wind ambition new german north sea project

C-bed’s floating hotel, Wind Ambition, is applying its full single cabin capacity on a new offshore wind project in the German North Sea. Along with workshop, storage, and office facilities, Wind Ambition provides accommodation for a total 137 persons in single cabins.

This new assignment involves a routine offshore wind service campaign and composes four different wind farms. The project commenced in April 2016 and with more than 200 wind turbines up for maintenance, the project is scheduled to last for several months.

Flexible offshore bunkering option

The many on board offshore technicians are completing the daily transfers from Wind Ambition to their workplaces via crew transfer vessels (CTVs). These frequent transfers are made easy for both hotel guests and crew members by using Wind Ambition’s purpose built boat landing and offshore CTV bunkering option. Heightening efficiency in all aspects of the client project execution remains C-bed’s predominant mission.

Adding further flexibility to the overall project, the CTV crew are also staying on-board Wind Ambition throughout the project period.

C-bed will using both Emden (Germany) and Esbjerg (Denmark) as base ports for crew change and loading of fresh supplies.
