Wagner Solar raises £11,432.02 for victims of the Japan devastation


Following the company’s announcement to donate 3% from new sales of SANYO solar modules during the month of April, Wagner Solar UK Ltd, the UK branch of German solar power and solar heating supplier, system integrator and manufacturer Wagner & Co Solar Technology; is pleased to announce it has raised £11,432.02 for the relief and development organisation World Vision for Japan related causes.

Speaking from Wagner Solar UK Ltd, Director Mark Osborne, “I would like to extend a hearty thank you to everyone who ordered SANYO modules during April for the contribution you have made to our fund-raising. Since launching the fund raising activity, we have maintained close contact with World Vision and who have sent us periodical updates on their efforts to help the children in Japan and we have been amazed at the speed of their work and the devotion they have shown.”

Mark Bulpitt, Head of Emergencies from World Vision UK commented, “As we near the three-month mark since the earthquake and tsunami devastated north Japan, World Vision has assisted nearly 83,000 people with shelter, food, blankets, and child-friendly spaces to help children recover from the trauma associated with disasters of this nature. Wagner Solar UK’s donation, for which we are very grateful, will go a long way towards helping the tens of thousands of people World Vision is committed to helping through the recovery process in Japan.”
