By chartering the self-elevating platform JB-117, Nordic Yards and General Electric could use up to 1.000 ton crane support and accommodation services during float over, installation, hook up and commissioning of the DolWin gamma converter station.
Seajacks self-propelled Jack-Up vessel Leviathan was chartered by General Electric and was utilized as an additional offshore hotel during peak time in summer 2017.
The DolWin gamma converter station is part of the 900 MW DolWin offshore grid connection system. Once completed by the end of 2018, the DolWin gamma will connect two offshore wind farms from the DolWin cluster to the substation in Dörpen West.
