seebaWIND Service to run 42-megawatt ENGIE wind farm in Brandenburg

Osnabrück, 09.09.2015. seebaWIND Service GmbH has been awarded the tender invited by the ENGIE energy group. The manufacturer-independent service provider has been responsible for service, maintenance, and 24/7 remote monitoring of the Karstädt-Blüthen wind farm in Prignitz County (Brandenburg) since August. With 32 Nordex N60 wind turbines and a total capacity of almost 42 megawatts, it is one of the biggest Nordex wind farms in Germany.

When it comes to looking after Nordex, Senvion and Fuhrländer turbines, seebaWIND is the market leader among the manufacturer-independent service providers. The company can rely on extensive know-how and many years of experience, and this is what also convinced the operator, ENGIE (formerly GDF Suez), that they were right for the job.

“seebaWIND won us over with an offer that represented good value for money combined with a contract tailor-made to the needs of our wind farm”, explains Rainer Röper, Senior Asset Manager Wind at the Bremen-based energy group, adding: “We are putting our trust in the extensive experience that this manufacturer-independent company has in the maintenance of Nordex wind turbines. From this collaboration we expect high technical availability of our wind farm, also in the future, based on a proactive maintenance strategy and strategic stocking of spare parts.”
