PIRIOU secures an order for a wind farm support vessel for AIS (Marine) 2 Limited


PIRIOU just secured a new order for a wind farm support vessel, the WFSV 26w (*) “OCEAN WIND 8 OF HARTLEPOOL”. Built by PIRIOU in Vietnam, “OCEAN WIND 8 OF HARTLEPOOL” will be delivered to AIS (Marine) 2 Limited at the end of March 2015 in Europe to be operated in the North Sea.

PIRIOU will attend EWEA Offshore exhibition in Copenhagen from March 10th to 12th to show its vessels and services ranges dedicated to offshore windfarm support.

With a proven design by © BMT Nigel Gee, the WFSV 26w “OCEAN WIND 8 OF HARTLEPOOL” is MCA category 1 and certified by Bureau Veritas. She provides safe and fast transfer within a range of 150 nautical miles from a safe haven.

She also features fundamental advantages to satisfy the requirements of offshore wind farms operators:
