Pasan SA, a subsidiary of Meyer Burger Technology Group, has delivered sun simulators to ESTI, the European Solar Test Installation (I), Fraunhofer ISE in Freiburg (DE) and TÜV Rheinland in Köln (DE). These leading institutes are world class references for the performance measurement of photovoltaic modules. The follow-up orders are another remarkable success for Pasan SA, which underlines their technology leadership in the photovoltaic testing equipment.
Pasan is proud to support the three European organizations in their commitment to improve the accuracy of the performance measurement. ESTI, ISE and TÜV Rheinlandsupport manufacturers worldwide by calibrating and certifying reference modules with the highest precision and providing added value services to the industry. The three institutional customers of Pasan were also involved in the European Round Robin project “Performance”. One main goal of this important project for the PV community is to find ways to correctly measure PV modules, by setting the standards for the PV industry.
Ewan Dunlop, ESTI Technical Manager explains: “High accuracy and reliability are essential for assessing the performance of innovative PV technologies and setting a sound basis for new standards”. “We are working on the uncertainty of the measurement, which will become even more important in the future,” adds Dr. Werner Herrmann, Senior Expert at TÜV Rheinland.
The institutes have selected Pasan because of the technology leadership and the outstanding performance of its products. “Our goal is to provide more accurate measurements to our customers, therefore it is important to rely on the best of class module tester,” says Frank Neuberger, Head of the CalLab at Fraunhofer ISE.
