Numerous ELA Tank Containers have now been in use for over a year

In the course of the last year, ELA Container Offshore GmbH has provided 15 ELA Offshore Wastewater Tanks to the Siemens AG to ensure the waste-water disposal of the platforms HelWin Alpha and BorWin Beta. Thanks to the DNV 2.7-1 certification of each tank, it is possible to transport and lift the tanks offshore. “The offshore-certified sewage tanks allow us to be flexible as well as fast acting regarding the sewage disposal of the platforms. This is particularly useful when the capacity of the platform’s own tanks is exhausted”, says Timo Springborn, Manager for Offshore Installation at Siemens AG. The tanks are generally required at very short notice. Timo Springborn continues: “With ELA, we have found a reliable partner who can deliver the sewage tanks at short notice and on time. Fast delivery is most important and crucial for us”.

Every 20 feet ELA Offshore Wastewater Tank has a capacity of approx. 5 m³ and is easy to handle with a tare weight of approx. 2.5 t. With a length of 6058 mm, a width of 2438 mm and a height of 700 mm, each tank can easily be combined underneath an ELA Offshore Accommodation Container and therefore can be used to save space. But, also a positioning next to the container or the container facility is possible and makes sense if emptying of the tanks will take place onshore. “We are fully convinced of the quality of ELA Offshore Wastewater Tanks and ELA’s speed of order processing and delivery. Communication with ELA from quotation to order was very straightforward and flawless”, sums up Springborn.
