A pioneering clean energy company has changed its name to MarineSolar Energy Solutions, marking a significant milestone in its development as it responds to the growing demand from the maritime sector for scalable, clean energy solutions.
Formerly Grafmarine, the rebrand underlines the company’s transition as it evolves from product development into the creation and delivery of practical, cost-effective and complementary solar energy solutions for the shipping industry.
The announcement follows a period of rapid expansion and strategic investment in the business. In late 2025, the company strengthened its leadership team with the appointments of Non-Executive Director Graham Eves, Chief Operations Officer Joep Groot, Chief Financial Officer Brian Tenner, and Chief Supply Chain Officer Ian Pilkington, bringing extensive expertise in international growth, operational scaling, as well as commercial and financial strategy.
Building on this momentum, the company also expanded its wider team at the start of 2026, reinforcing its engineering and commercial capabilities.
Headquartered in the UK, MarineSolar operates across key European maritime hubs, with offices in Manchester, Rotterdam, and Bilbao to support its growing international customer base and deployment pipeline.
