Leading independent power producer Enviromena has appointed Bill Taylor as its new Chief Financial Officer.

Bill’s arrival brings more than 30 years’ experience in the renewable and conventional energy sector, including time at both public and private equity funded start-up companies.

Running his own consultancy for three years, he joins Enviromena from Nala Renewables where he was interim CFO. He was previously CFO with the Exagen Group, an Octopus Generation Company.

A career highlight was working with Cubico Sustainable Investments where, as Senior VP, Head of Finance and Tax, he oversaw the company’s growth over seven years from a handful of people to more than 270.

“I’m joining Enviromena at an exciting time,” said Bill. “My entire career has been devoted to the energy sector and without doubt renewables is the place to be. Enviromena has an outstanding reputation and an excellent pipeline going forward. I very much look forward to playing my part in the company’s next chapter of growth.”

This appointment underlines the company’s ongoing commitment to growth. Enviromena currently manages and operates more than 400MWp of renewable assets and has a development pipeline exceeding 3GW across the UK and Italy.

Chris Marsh, Enviromena’s CEO, said: “We are delighted that Bill is joining the senior management team. He will add depth and breath as we continue to build and grow our pipeline.

“Bill joins us after a milestone summer that saw the acquisition of three fully consented solar projects across the UK and the successful launch of Medebridge Solar Farm in Essex, which is now generating renewable electricity through a landmark Corporate Power Purchase Agreement with The University of Manchester.”
