Four days of trade fair, future trends and networking, in the evening festival, drone show and keynotes: the framework programme of HUSUM WIND 2025 combines wind power, knowledge and the authentic Husum feeling.

Husum, 07/08/2025 – HUSUM WIND 2025 celebrates its more than 35th anniversary with a diverse framework programme that brings together knowledge, networks and experiences. From 16 to 19 September, the trade fair will be the central meeting place for the industry. Exhibitors from 20 countries, international trade visitors and those interested in wind energy come together. Numerous events for the community and leading minds in the wind industry will also take place, both on the exhibition grounds and in the heart of Husum.

Highlights at the start: Offshore excursion, dinner, reception & drone show

The offshore excursion on 15 September will take participants directly to the giants of wind power. Starting in Hamburg, the high-speed catamaran will take you to 25 wind farms, offering insights into the technology, the opportunity to network with industry professionals, and a unique perspective on the future of offshore energy. Leading operators such as Ørsted, RWE, Vattenfall and TenneT are involved. Few tickets are still available to purchase online.

In the evening, Husum Messe & Congress is organising the Windmasters Dinner in Husum Castle. Invited Guests can look forward to a festive atmosphere and a keynote speech by Sven Hannawald, former Olympic ski jumping champion and entrepreneur. On 16 September, HUSUM WIND will be officially opened at the NordseeCongressCentrum. In the evening, the city and the trade fair company jointly invite you to the official town hall reception followed by a drone light show at the harbour.

For the community spirit: HUSUM WIND Run, Women in Wind and Festival

On Wednesday morning, exhibitors, visitors and running enthusiasts can get involved. Starting at 7 a.m., the HUSUM WIND Run will cover around seven kilometres from the inland port to the Dockkoog and back.

From 5:30 p.m., the NordseeCongressCentrum auditorium will be dedicated to women in the industry: The Women in Wind format offers an opportunity to network, empower and share ideas in a relaxed atmosphere, complete with snacks, drinks and an inspiring industry-related keynote speech. Participation in both events is free of charge, online registration is required.

In addition, the legendary Windwander Festival is making a comeback on 15 September: The cultural programme accompanying the fair will create an urban festival atmosphere in the evening. Live concerts take place in the Speicher Husum, the Kulturkeller, the Beachbar or the Osteria near Peci, among other venues. Experts and locals meet in an informal setting where it is easy to network. This spirit is what HUSUM WIND is known for.

Focus on young talent: WINDCareer

On Thursday and Friday, the WINDCareer job fair will take place at the NordseeCongressCentrum with over 30 companies presenting current jobs, apprenticeships and trainee programmes. WINDCareer is aimed at pupils, students and junior staff as well as those looking to change careers. Practical discussions, free admission and complimentary ice cream make the Career Day a real highlight for companies and talents alike. The partner of WINDCareer is ME2BE MEDIEN GmbH. The media and education company supports young people in their professional and life orientation through print and online magazines, podcasts, videos as well as the ME2BE portal and the digital platform DIGI:BO.
